Setting a perfect example for practising democratic right, a bride from Madikeri town of Karnataka went to the polling booth to cast her vote, before her wedding ceremony. Dressed in red, the girl arrived with her mother to vote before tying the knot. That's not all, another woman Viola Fernandes reached a polling booth in Mangaluru city to exercise her franchise before wedding.

Karnataka Elections: 52.4% voter turnout until 3 PM
Total 52.4% votes were polled until 3 PM today. The highest polling was recorded in Udupi (62%) while Bengaluru (North) polled only 39%, lowest in this election. Notably, in 2013, the Karnataka assembly elections had witnessed 70.23% voter turn out.
