#TelanganaElections: Owaisi responds to Adityanath, says Allah will defeat Modi-govt
Following Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's warning that All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi would have to 'flee' Telangana if the BJP was voted to power, Owaisi has hit back at Adityanath. Saying that Adityanath's words reflected Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mentality, Owaisi said that Allah would bring about the Modi government's demise, and spite the Congress, and TDP. Here's more.
Allah will ensure Majlis' victory, says Owaisi
"Allah will defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi, insult Naidu, ensure Rahul Gandhi's defeat and Majlis' victory," said Owaisi. "India is my father's country. Nobody can force me to leave it," added the AIMIM leader.
Owaisi hits back at Adityanath over Nizam comment
Hitting back at Adityanath over his comment that Owaisi would have to 'flee' Telangana like the Nizam fled Hyderabad, the AIMIM leader asked Adityanath to get his facts right. Owaisi said that the unification of Hyderabad with India was joyous day, and that Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan did not flee India. Instead, he was made 'Raj Pramukh', and sold his gold to support India in the Sino-Indian war of 1962, said Owaisi.
Owaisi reminds Adityanath of his chief ministerial responsibilities
Continuing his attack on Adityanath, the AIMIM leader said the UP CM should "uphold the dignity" of his office. Owaisi went on to remind Adityanath of his chief ministerial responsibilities, saying that he should take care of his state. Drawing attention to the Gorakhpur hospital tragedy that saw hundreds die from lapses in management, Owaisi said that he had taken steps to prevent such tragedies in constituencies held by AIMIM.
The AIMIM leader didn't spare Rahul Gandhi either
The AIMIM didn't spare Congress chief Rahul Gandhi either. Commenting on Rahul Gandhi's tweet that had labelled the AIMIM as BJP's 'C team', Owaisi said that Gandhi was an entitled Brahmin who thought people who were not Savarnas were impure. Owaisi slammed Gandhi for having no clue about the pains of minorities, and further called the Congress Hindutva's 'B team'.

The importance of AIMIM in Telangana's elections
Owaisi's AIMIM, which has considerable influence in old Hyderabad, remains key to forming a government in Telangana. The BJP, which had won only five out of Telangana's 119 seats in 2014, is contesting the upcoming elections alone, after the prospect of an alliance with the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) failed. The TRS, meanwhile, is believed to be on "friendly" terms with AIMIM.
