Tej Prasad Yadav forged documents for petrol pump: Sushil Modi
RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's son Tej is in a fresh controversy. BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi has alleged the state health minister had illegally acquired a petrol pump with fake land deal documents. "Tej Pratap did not have 43 decimal of land on New Bypass Road in 2011 when he had appeared for an interview before the (Bharat Petroleum) petrol pump," he said.
"Tej had neither the land nor the lease"
The land was allotted to Tej's brother Tejashwi Prasad Yadav in January 2012, Modi alleged, adding he cannot rent out the plot under the land deed. "How can Tej Pratap be allotted a petrol pump when he had neither the land nor the lease in his name?" he asked, alleging involvement of oil company officials. RJD, in response, said Modi is trying to mislead people.
String of accusations against the Yadav clan
Since April 4, Modi has held almost 12 press conferences, firing one salvo after another at the Prasad family. Till date, he has accused the clan of acquiring "ill-gotten wealth" worth over Rs. 1,000cr.
Not the first time for Tej Prasad
Tej Prasad has often courted controversy; last month, Modi alleged his department had awarded tender of Rs. 90cr for beautification work at Patna's Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park without following due process. This New Year, Tej, who has described himself as the "descendant of Lord Krishna", dressed up as the god and ruffled a few feathers. Last year, pictures of him with Shahabuddin's sharpshooter surfaced.
When the elder son was 25 and the younger, 26!
The Yadav family faced much embarrassment when in October 2015, Lalu Prasad's elder son Tej filed his nomination papers as a 25-year-old, while younger son Tejashwi declared he was 26!
