You are exposed: Sushma Swaraj blasts Pak-minister on 'googly remark'
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had some strong words for her Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi over his googly remark and said his country has been exposed. Swaraj also said his statement shows Pakistan has no respect for Sikhs. Earlier, this week, Swaraj's cabinet colleagues Hardeep Singh Puri and Harsimrat Kaur Badal attended Kartarpur Corridor's groundbreaking ceremony across the border.
Looking at what Qureshi said
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who completed 100 days in office, laid the stone for the corridor. Later, Qureshi quipped, "Imran delivered a googly and India sent two ministers here," drawing a reference to Khan's career as a bowler in the national cricket team. But his words were slammed by Swaraj in tweets and she said the ministers went there to offer prayers.

Badal supports Swaraj after Qureshi's remark
Swaraj's thoughts were echoed by Badal, who said she went to Pakistan because it was a matter of faith. "Indulging in one-upmanship on this sacred issue is uncalled for. No one was bowled over by any googly," she said. She added PM Narendra Modi and the ministers always respected the sentiments of the Sikhs which is why they participated in the 'noble initiative'.
At ceremony, Khan talks about peace, praises Sidhu
At the ceremony, Khan spoke about peace and praised Navjot Singh Sidhu, the Congress leader who attended the function on a personal invite. He said, "I think, Sidhu, you should contest elections here. People love you so much; you will surely win." He said he would take two steps if India took one. However, India said till cross-border terrorism doesn't stop, talks won't resume.
