Open war in Maharashtra, BJP trying to destabilize government: Raut
Shiv Sena's firebrand leader Sanjay Raut has once again launched a sharp attack against former ally, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of trying to destabilize the Maharashtra government. Raut claimed Governor BS Koshyari has not approved several decisions of the state government due to "pressure" from the Centre. The Raj Bhavan and the Maharashtra government are engaged in an open war, he asserted.
He accused BJP of using Raj Bhavan for political purposes
Raut, who played a pivotal role in forming the Maha Vikas Aghadi government by bringing Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and Congress together in late 2019, said the Raj Bhavan was being used for political purposes. "It's not a cold war. A cold war is carried out clandestinely. This is an open war," Raut, who was on a two-day trip to Nashik, said.

Raut also alleged that Koshyari is wasting time and underlined that the latter is bound to act on the advice of the council of ministers. He highlighted that the nomination of 12 MLCs is still pending. "Their terms come to an end in the sixth year. Valuable time of their tenure has been lost. Who is responsible for this delay because of political pressure?" he asked.
In 'Saamana,' Sena made a case for recalling Koshyari
Raut's remarks came after Shiv Sena also leveled similar allegations, going as far as saying that Koshyari should be recalled if the Centre wants to honor the Constitution. The party's mouthpiece Saamana said Koshyari is a seasoned politician, having also served as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. However, after he became the Governor of Maharashtra, he has been landing in controversies frequently.
The recent aircraft incident was also mentioned
"The Governor wanted to go to Dehradun using the state aircraft. But the government denied permission to it. He sat in the aircraft on Thursday morning, but as the plane did not have the approval to fly, he had to disembark and take a commercial flight to Dehradun," Sena said.
Slamming Centre, Sena spoke on farm laws as well
Shiv Sena then claimed BJP is creating an unnecessary controversy, highlighting that even CMs can't use a state plane for private tours. "But Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis accused the state government of being egoistic. The country knows who is indulging in politics of ego," the editorial read, also asking if the Centre wasn't being egoistic by sticking with three controversial farm reforms.
