After Virat's challenge, RaGa hurls #FuelChallenge towards PM Modi
Just as the 'Fitness Challenge', where popular personalities passed the baton to each other to promote health, gained momentum on social media, Congress President Rahul Gandhi gave another dare to PM Narendra Modi. He asked why doesn't he accept the #FuelChallenge and reduce fuel prices. Gandhi also warned the Congress will force him to reduce prices if he fails to do so.
Waiting for your response Mr. Modi, says Rahul Gandhi
Rising petrol prices has made nation angry
The government's inability to reduce fuel prices has frustrated the entire nation. On Wednesday, the price of petrol and diesel in Delhi was respectively Rs. 77.17/L and Rs. 68.34/L. There was no revision of prices for at least 20 days ahead of Karnataka elections, but then prices have increased almost on a daily basis for the last ten days, irking the entire nation.
Petrol prices trouble India, Mr. Modi accepts fitness challenge
As the nation continues to be troubled with petrol prices, Mr Modi's quick response to a fitness challenge drew criticism. The initiative was spearheaded by Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Narendra Modi was nominated for it by star cricketer Virat Kohli. As much as we love a fit PM, his silence on fuel prices is really worrying.
However, Amit Shah promises action in next few days
Speaking about the high-price, BJP president Amit Shah said the government will come up with a solution soon. "We are taking the increase in fuel prices very seriously... oil prices have increased according to set formula. We are working on the situation at the highest level. Our people in the government will come up with a solution in three-four days," Shah said on Tuesday.
