'Modi won't be PM after 2024 Lok Sabha elections': Rahul
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, on Friday, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not become the prime minister of the country after 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Speaking at a joint rally of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, "You take this in writing...Narendra Modi will not become the Prime Minister of the country." Gandhi was campaigning for his ally, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, who is contesting Lok Sabha elections from Kannauj constituency.
Help Yadav win: Gandhi to Congress, SP workers
In his speech, he appealed to the workers of the Congress, the SP, and other parties of the INDIA bloc to work together and ensure Yadav's victory in the Kannauj Lok Sabha constituency. Gandhi said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will receive its biggest loss of seats in UP because the people of the state have decided and made up their mind for a change.
PM Modi is scared: Gandhi
On PM Modi's recent Adani-Ambani remark, Gandhi said that the PM did not mention Adani and Ambani in his thousands of speeches in the past 10 years. "When somebody is scared, he takes the name of that person who, as per his belief, can rescue him. For the same reason, Narendra Modi ji took the names of two of his friends, appealing them to come for his rescue."
PM's 'Adani-Ambani'attack on Gandhi
On Wednesday, PM Modi questioned Gandhi why he had "stopped talking about Ambani and Adani all of a sudden," insinuating that a "secret deal" may have been reached. Addressing a rally in Congress-ruled Telangana, the PM said that "Shehzada of Congress (Gandhi) had been saying the same thing for last 5 years. After his Rafale charge grounded, he started taking Ambani-Adani's name." However, after the polls were announced, he stopped attacking them, the PM added.
Modi waived off loans worth ₹16 lakh crore
Meanwhile, Gandhi also alleged that the Modi government waived off loans worth ₹16 lakh crore of 22 people. "Congress and INDIA alliance have decided that if he can make 22 arabpatis (billionaires), we will make crores of lakhpatis (millionaires)," Gandhi said. Yadav and AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh also addressed the rally.
