Congress leader Priyanka attacks PM Modi, BJP over inflation, unemployment
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday dismissed the Bharatiya Janata Party's "400 paar" slogan. She added that the ruling National Democratic Alliance, led by the BJP, will not even get 180 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. "On what basis are they saying they will get 400, are they astrologers? Either they have done something beforehand and they know they will secure more than 400 seats." she added.
INDIA will secure 'substantial' seats: Vadra
Vadra made the comments while campaigning in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. She said, "If today in this country, the elections are conducted in such a way in which there is no tampering of EVMs, then I can say with full confidence that they [the BJP] will not get more than 180 seats." When questioned about her prediction for the number of seats the opposition bloc—the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance—would secure, Vadra said they would attain a "substantial number of seats."
Vadra criticizes Modi's administration at rally
While campaigning for the Congress's Saharanpur candidate Imran Masood, Vadra hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration. She accused it of failing to deliver development and being disconnected from the people. "People want change. They don't want this type of politics. In the past 10 years, there has not been any development in the life of any common man or woman. They are not getting jobs, inflation is not coming down," she said.
Vadra highlights economic struggles on Ram Navami
Vadra also drew attention to people's financial struggles and criticized PM Modi for neglecting key issues like unemployment and inflation. "Today is Ram Navami. People don't have money to buy anything. He doesn't talk about unemployment and inflation. I feel the people around him are not telling him about this. He is disconnected from people," she said. Saharanpur will cast their votes in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 19.
