'After waiting for 500 years...': Modi extends Ram Navami wishes
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday wished the country on the occasion of Ram Navami saying his heart is filled with "joy and gratitude." "This is the first Ram Navami when our Ram Lalla has been enthroned in the grand Ram Temple of Ayodhya," Modi wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter). "After waiting for five centuries, today we have got the privilege of celebrating this Ram Navami in Ayodhya in this manner," he added.
PM Modi pays tribute to devotees
Modi emphasized that the occasion serves as a moment to honor the countless devotees of Lord Ram who devoted their lives to the construction of the Ram temple. He also mentioned the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony that was held on January 22. "It is by the supreme grace of Lord Ram that this year I had the privilege to witness the consecration ceremony...The memories of that moment...still resonate in my heart with the same energy," he said.

Shah's extended greetings on Ram Navami
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended greetings to people across India on the occasion of Ram Navami. "Jai Shri Ram! Best wishes to everyone on the holy festival of Ram Navami," the senior BJP leader wrote on X. "The life of Maryada Purushottam Lord Ram is a symbol of struggle for justice, public welfare and self-respect. The Lord established the highest ideal of sacrifice for truth...religion through his life and guided the entire world for ages," Shah said.
'After centuries of waiting...': Yogi Adityanath greets nation
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adiyanath said, "Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the residents of the state and devotees." "After centuries of waiting, the new, grand, divine temple of Lord Shri Ram Lalla built in Shri Ayodhya Dham is making millions of Ram devotees and human civilization happy and proud," he said.
Ayodhya gears up for Ram Navami celebrations
On the occasion of Ram Navami, Ayodhya is adorned to welcome devotees. The entire temple complex has been illuminated with lights. A red carpet has been laid on the Janmabhoomi Path to facilitate the movement of devotees. Additionally, carpets have been placed inside the temple premises for the comfort of worshippers. A permanent canopy has been put up on the Janmabhoomi Path to protect devotees from the sun.
