'Forming party to get rid of Nitish, Lalu': Prashant Kishor
Political strategist-turned-activist Prashant Kishor has announced the agenda for his upcoming political party, Jan Suraaj, which will be launched on October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. According to him, the primary objectives of his party are to stop migration from Bihar and unseating Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Kishor's vision for Bihar's future and role in new party
Speaking to mediapersons on Sunday, Kishor emphasized that the formation of Jan Suraaj is not his sole endeavor, but a collective effort by approximately one crore people of Bihar. "Prashant Kishor is not forming a political party on October 2. One crore people of Bihar are coming together and forming a party for their children's future by getting rid of Nitish and Lalu and stopping migration," he stated.

Preparations underway for Jan Suraaj launch
In the lead-up to the launch of Jan Suraaj, Kishor stated that the party will not be limited to any one caste, family, or community. Instead, it would be a joint endeavor by the people of Bihar. He stated that as many as 1.5 lakh people would be nominated as new party office bearers. Kishor also stated that he would not lead the party but that leaders would be elected from various assembly constituencies.
Kishor's political journey: From strategist to activist
Kishor, who is the founder of the political consultancy IPAC, became a well-known face after helping design the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s campaign for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He later collaborated with Kumar during the 2015 assembly polls, which led to his induction into JD(U) in 2018. However, he was expelled two years later. He quit political consultancy after the 2021 Bengal assembly elections.
