PM Modi to launch Amma Two-wheeler scheme in Chennai tomorrow
PM Modi will be visiting Chennai on Saturday to mark the inauguration of the AIADMK government's ambitious scheme of providing 50 per cent subsidy to working women to buy two-wheelers. The scheme named 'Amma Two-wheeler Scheme' was one of the pet projects of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. It will now be launched on the occasion of her birth anniversary.
PM Modi will visit two states and two Union Territories
Over the next two days, Modi will embark on a visit to two states and two Union Territories that include - Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Gujarat and Daman & Diu. PM Modi will start his tour with Daman tomorrow where he will launch various development projects, and hand over certificates to beneficiaries of official schemes besides addressing a public meeting.
PM Modi will leave for Puducherry and Gujarat on Sunday
PM Modi will then visit Chennai to attend the inaugural event. On Sunday, Modi will visit Aurobindo Ashram in Puducherry where he will offer floral tributes to Shri Aurobindo, and interact with students there. He will also visit Auroville to release a commemorative postage stamp. On Sunday evening, Modi will be in Gujarat, for the flagging off of the 'Run for New India Marathon'.
