#SabMileHueHain: Steps Opposition took to make Modi's "Road-to-2019" easier
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his speech in the Lok Sabha on Friday, most TV sets flashed how it was the beginning of 2019's campaign. The NDA sailed comfortably through the no-confidence motion by defeating the Opposition by 199 votes and securing 325 'Yes' for itself. The motion was meant to break NDA's morality but ended up doing the opposite.
Once again, PM used the 'Modi v/s others' card
Targeting the 'arrogance' of Opposition, Modi said 'everyone' had a single goal, i.e., 'Modi Hatao'. Brace yourselves, people, this expression will now be used many times before general elections. Not only that, no-confidence motion, CJI Impeachment move and released videos of surgical strikes will be repeatedly utilized. With these mistakes, the Opposition has removed the arguably small stones, which could have hindered Modi's path to victory.
The CJI Impeachment motion left Congress embarrassed, got BJP points
In May, Congress member and lawyer Kapil Sibal approached Supreme Court after Vice President Venkaiah Naidu rejected the CJI impeachment notice. Later, Sibal withdrew the petition and SC advised leaders to keep politics outside courts. This, unsurprisingly, was used by PM Modi and he said it reflected Congress's 'emergency' mindset, and they tried to scare the judiciary. Multiply this 'n' times, and you will get a flavor of election season.
Then, there are the surgical strikes and their proofs
PM Modi has used the Indian army (to protect him) more than one can count. Since the surgical strike happened 'under his watch', he has always spoken about it. Recently, the videos of the operation were released and BJP leaders attacked the Congress for questioning the army. Now, in 2019 this rhetoric will be reminded, and the Opposition won't be able to fight it.

To top these, Opposition moved no-confidence motion, without having numbers
Despite not having numbers, the Opposition moved the no-confidence motion and it is likely to haunt them in the crucial elections. Modi said this move by Congress showed how power hungry they are, and challenged them to move it again in 2024. Notably, the #IndiaTrustsModi trend is doing its job on social media of masquerading failures of Modi rule, and assembling cheerleaders.
Like Modi said, 2019 might become about him versus rest
PM Modi's oratory skills can't be challenged, and he will definitely put them to best use in 2019. The Opposition, on the other hand, needs to rethink their its strategy as the earlier ones are only backfiring. The stage, for 2019, is set!
