With rumors claiming an impending marriage to Congress chief Rahul Gandhi doing rounds on social media, an annoyed Aditi Singh, MLA of UP's Rae Bareli, lashed out at rumormongers. Brushing aside all rumors of marriage, the 29-year-old MLA said "Rahul Gandhi ji mere rakhi wale bhai hai." Reportedly, the rumors were first circulated in some WhatsApp groups in Rae Bareli. Those behind rumors want to malign images
"I am really saddened by the way such baseless rumors are being spread. Rahul ji is like an elder brother to me...Those behind the link up are absolutely wrong and aimed to malign my image and that of Rahul Gandhi ji," added Aditi Singh.

Photographs showing Rahul Gandhi and Aditi Singh along with their families started doing rounds of social media with captions along the line of 'Rahul Gandhi has finally found his match'. The pictures elicited all sorts of reactions from people, ultimately causing embarrassment to the 29-year-old MLA from Rae Bareli. She further alleged that the rumors were propaganda in the wake of the Karnataka polls.
Anyone could guess who's behind rumors, says Singh
"My wedding with Rahul Gandhi is propaganda in wake of the Karnataka elections. The intention appears to distract Congress leadership and workers who are toiling in Karnataka. And it is anyone's guess on who could be behind it," rebuked Singh.
Who is Aditi Singh?
Aditi Singh is the daughter of Akhilesh Singh, a five-time MLA from Rae Bareli. Although Aditi's father quit Congress long back, she made her debut in politics in 2017 with a ticket from Congress and won with an astounding margin of 90,000 votes. Aditi, who is a management graduate from Duke University in the US, is said to be close to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
