What's the story
Giving his first reaction on the airstrikes conducted by IAF on Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammed's camp, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday thanked forces.
PM Modi, who received a rousing welcome, said the country was in safe hands.
"Saugandh muje iss mitti ki, main desh nahi mitne doonga (I promise I will not let this country vanish)," said PM Modi, evoking claps and cheers.

Statement
PM Modi speaks on National War Memorial
Referring to the National War Memorial which he inaugurated on Monday, PM Modi said this happened for the first time in 70 years.
"The memorial is important for Churu as you sacrificed many sons for the country. Respecting you is very important for me," said PM Modi.
He reminded he promised to implement OROP for armed forces and was successful in doing so.

Congress stopping schemes which would benefit farmers: PM Modi
Flaying with Congress, PM Modi said he launched Rs. 75,000 crore Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.
He said though the scheme benefited farmers in other states, farmers of Rajasthan were deprived of it.
"Why haven't Rajasthan farmers reaped benefits you ask? We are still waiting for a list from state government," he said.

PM Modi urges Congress government to participate in Centre's schemes
PM Modi added Congress government in Rajasthan showed reluctance in being a part of Ayushmaan Bharat scheme.
"I don't understand what is going on in minds of my Congress friends. I would request them to show interest in Centre's programs," he said.
Praising former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, PM Modi said she ensured Churu gets water regularly.
