Modi in Gujarat: First visit to hometown Vadnagar since 2014
On Day 2 of his Gujarat visit, PM Narendra Modi is visiting his hometown Vadnagar in Mehsana district- his first trip to the town since he became PM. He will later distribute e-tablets to health workers. He will lay the foundation stone for Bhadbhut Barrage in Bharuch. Modi will also launch the Intensified Mission Indradhanush and the Antyodaya Express connecting Udhna (Gujarat) and Jaynagar (Bihar).

The entire town of Vadnagar has been decked up in bright lights to welcome the PM on his first visit to his hometown after his 2014 victory. After arriving, Modi launched a road show. On the way he will cross his school. He is also expected to offer obeisance at the Hatkeshwar Temple. Before returning to Delhi, he will address a public meeting in Bharuch.
What did he do on the first day?
On Day 1, Modi visited the Dwarkadhish temple. Subsequently, he laid the foundation stone for four national highways projects at Dwarka worth Rs. 5,825cr. He also laid the foundation stone for the Rs. 2,500cr greenfield Rajkot International Airport. Modi then launched the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA), an initiative that aims to impart digital literacy among people in rural areas.
