He remarked that this meeting rekindled memories of old days when he used to work at the party headquarters. Further, he expressed happiness at meeting media persons without "cameras, papers and pens."

Modi complimented the media's role for making Swacch Abhiyan its own mission and making it a success. He also praised the media for giving suggestions to improve the country.
He said "we have a long association with each other" and "an understanding" which benefits the country.
Modi also observed that compared to earlier "new mediums have come up", making interaction with the media "difficult."
