Mayawati alleges cow vigilantes harass poor Hindus
BSP Supremo Mayawati alleged that right-wing cow protection groups were committing atrocities against poor Hindus in UP. She said "Anarchy is being spread in the state in the name of Hindu Yuva Vahini." Criticizing Yogi Adityanath's government she said "the BJP government has failed to act against the culprits." She added that the situation in Uttarakhand was also the same.
Dalits, poor people being targeted - Mayawati
Mayawati was speaking at a meeting of the BSP's Utarakhand party. She stated that under BJP governance, dalits and poor Hindus in both states faced "atrocities and step-motherly treatment" at the hands of cow vigilante groups in both states. She said this was being committed under the patronage of the state governments.

Mayawati said "Murder, violence and not abiding by law and order has become a common sight in the name of saffron appeasement of the BJP government which has also caused fear and terror among the people."
