AIIMS discharges Lalu Prasad Yadav, despite his protests
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) discharged RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav on Monday. Yadav was undergoing treatment for various ailments and will be now taken to Ranchi hospital. Earlier, Lalu Yadav cried conspiracy over his discharge from AIIMS and said the hospital in Ranchi was not equipped to treat him. He wished to stay in Delhi for a few more days.

AIIMS calls Lalu Yadav's condition stable, he disagrees
In a statement, the premier medical institute said Lalu Yadav showed improvement. "He has improved significantly and is being referred back to Ranchi Medical College for management of his chronic issues. He is currently stable and is fit to travel," read the statement. Raising concerns over his transfer, Lalu likened doctors to Gods and said they shouldn't succumb to political pressure.
Tejaswi Yadav questions AIIMS' decision, supporters stage protests
Lalu Prasad Yadav's son Tejashwi Yadav accused the hospital of taking the decision quickly. "Only AIIMS authorities can reveal the reason behind the sudden transfer," he said. Further, the supporters of the RJD chief created a ruckus in the hospital premises. Lalu Prasad Yadav was admitted to AIIMS on March 29, and a team of six doctors was looking into his case.
Rahul Gandhi meets Lalu Prasad Yadav at AIIMS
Earlier today Rahul Gandhi met Lalu Prasad Yadav at the hospital. Yadav is serving his jail term since December 2017, in connection with fodder scam. After the meeting, UP CM Yogi Adityanath asked Congress to give a clarification on the meeting, since the party talked about removing corruption. Shahnawaz Hussain said Rahul Gandhi's stand on corruption has changed.
