Congress's balm on teary Kumaraswamy: Be courageous, stay happy
What's the story
The Congress told Karnataka's Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy to have 'courage and face challenges' after the latter broke down addressing members of JD(S) party and said he wasn't happy.
Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge advised Kumaraswamy to look at the bigger picture and be courageous.
Notably, JD(S) and Congress formed a coalition government in Karnataka after BJP's BS Yeddyurappa failed to prove majority.
Reason
Why did Kumaraswamy break down in front of party leaders?
Equating becoming CM with drinking poison, an emotional Kumaraswamy told JD(S) members about his problems.
But why was he sad? For one, the allocation of portfolios led to bitterness between the new CM and deputy CM G Parameshwara. Later, the former got finance and Congress leader home.
After this, there were differences on farm loan waivers too, which Kumaraswamy had promised before the elections.

Kharge tells Kumaraswamy his actions aren't giving a good message
Kharge, who was one of the architects of the current coalition government, reacted on Kumaraswamy's outburst and said he should face problems with courage.
"Running a coalition government is always a problem and all one can do is face it. This wouldn't give a good message to people who supported secular parties," he told ANI.
Further, Kharge said Kumaraswamy has to fulfill people's wishes.

Meanwhile, Parameshwara asks Kumaraswamy to stay happy
Dismissing the outburst where Kumaraswamy said he'll step down if people commanded, Parameshwara said, "How can he say that? He must definitely be happy, CM has to be always happy. If he's happy, we'll all be happy."
BJP's attack
Seizing opportunity, BJP gives 'best actor award' to Kumaraswamy
Taking a dig at Kumaraswamy, BJP Karnataka's Twitter handle wrote our country has produced many fine actors and the CM was one of them.
"We have another legendary actor Mr Kumaraswamy, an actor who has constantly fooled common man with his amazing acting skills," the tweet read.
Furthering the attack, senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley slammed Congress and tweeted the party was repeating history.
Twitter Post
It's an outcome of opportunistic agenda, Arun Jaitley tweets
The Karnataka situation is an obvious consequence of a non-ideological opportunistic alliance with no positive agenda. The basis of the negative agenda is ‘Keep Modi Out’. These ideologically flexible political groups have an extremely dubious track record of governance.
