What picture do early trends paint: Good news for BJP
The EVM counting of votes began a short while ago, bringing good news for Bharatiya Janata Party.
At the time of filing of the story, BJP was leading at 109 seats, Congress at 68 and JD(S) at 43 seats.
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah was leading from Badami constituency and trailing from Chamundeshwari constituency.
Earlier, exit polls had predicted a close contest between both the parties.
