BS Yediyurappa tests coronavirus positive for the second time
Karnataka Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader BS Yediyurappa tested positive for coronavirus today. The 78-year-old gave an update about it on Twitter. He had contracted the disease in August 2020 as well and had to be hospitalized. Notably, he has been campaigning for the last few days in the north Karnataka constituencies, where by-polls will be held on Saturday.
Doing fine, being hospitalized on doctor's advice, tweeted Yediyurappa
Yediyurappa tweeted that he got himself tested after developing a mild fever. "Although I am doing fine, I am being hospitalized based on the advice of doctors. I request all those who have come in my contact recently to be observant and exercise self-quarantine," the Chief Minister's tweet read. From Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted earlier, he was taken to Manipal Hospital.
