'State of confusion...':CM Saini predicts Congress defeat in Haryana polls
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini hit out at the Congress on Monday ahead of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's visit to the election-bound state. He said the Congress's influence is waning, pointing out the lack of any significant leader from the party in Haryana during the assembly elections. Saini further likened the current situation of Congress in Haryana to its decline in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, suggesting a similar fate awaits them in the upcoming polls.
Saini highlights Congress's desperation and confusion
"In the last few days, it has become clear that the condition of Congress is also going to be like that of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Now even the leaders of Congress have started accepting this," Saini said. "Now in a state of desperation, Congress sometimes releases manifesto twice and sometimes its leaders give absurd statements. Congress is in a state of confusion today," he added.
Saini takes a jab at Gandhi
Saini also commented on a statement made by Gandhi regarding reservations in the United States, where Gandhi suggested that such policies in India could be reconsidered when the country becomes a "fair place." He added, "Now suddenly the news has come that Gandhi, who gave anti-reservation statements on foreign soil, is coming to Haryana on a political tour for 2-3 days."
