Delhi: Independent candidate injured after car crashes into his office
What's the story
Rambir Shokeen, an independent candidate in the upcoming Delhi elections, was injured after a speeding car crashed into his office in Mundka, Delhi.
CCTV footage of the incident showed the vehicle swerving to avoid an oncoming bike before crashing into Shokeen's office.
Shokeen suffered a leg fracture in the crash. The driver of the car fled the scene immediately after the crash.
Accusations and probe
Shokeen accuses opposition parties, investigation underway
After the incident, Shokeen blamed a few opposition parties for the crash.
The authorities have since initiated an investigation into the matter.
Shokeen was elected as an independent MLA from Mundka in North-West Delhi in 2013.
Delhi will vote on February 5, and vote counting will take place on February 8.
