Poster shows Rahul Gandhi as Krishna protecting 'Draupadi' Renuka Chowdhury
A Youth Congress leader in Allahabad has waded into the Congress-BJP war over PM Narendra Modi's comments on MP Renuka Chowdhury, but it's his poster that has drawn attention. On the image uploaded on Facebook by Haseeb Ahmad, Congress President Rahul Gandhi is seen as Lord Krishna, protecting 'Draupadi' Renuka while 'Kauravas' Modi, Kiren Rijiju and Amit Shah look and laugh.
BJP-Congress in war over Modi's 'Ramayana' jibe on Chowdhury
The two parties have been embroiled in a war of words ever since Chowdhury laughed during Modi's speech in the Rajya Sabha four days ago. While Chairman Venkaiah Naidu chided her by asking her to "go to the doctor," Modi urged him not to say anything to her. "This is the first time we are hearing such laughter after the 'Ramayana' serial," Modi said.

Later, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju posted a video of Modi's comments along with a clip of the demon Surpanakha laughing in 'Ramayana,' but it was soon removed. Ahmad has now uploaded a poster that says: "Protect us Rahul Gandhi. A woman's laughter had once offended Duryodhan, and hundreds of Kauravas had died." The poster also portrays Sonia Gandhi and MP Pramod Tiwari, among others.
Ahmad wants Modi to "apologize to crores of Indian women"
"It's sad that the PM has shown disrespect to a woman MP. He described her laughter in the context of the Ramayana, now we have launched Mahabharata against him and his team," Ahmad said. He wants the PM to "apologize to crores of Indian women."
