Small home, big heart: Shivraj Singh Chouhan moves to new-residence
Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan moved to a new, smaller house but he has said his heart is still the same. Chouhan, who lost the closely contested recent Assembly election, said people are free to visit his new residence, B-8 74 bungalow. After being the CM of the central state for 13 years, Chouhan was succeeded by Congress leader Kamal Nath.
This life is dedicated to you all: Chouhan
Earlier, Chouhan told people of MP, "Tiger abhi zinda hai"
Despite a heartbreaking loss, Chouhan has not let gloomy spirit take over him. He visited his constituency Budhni on Wednesday and used the popular Bollywood dialogue to tell the citizens he would work for the state. He said, "No one needs to worry that what will happen to them. I am still here. Tiger abhi zinda hai (Tiger is still alive)."
Leaving differences aside, Chouhan had attended Nath's swearing-in ceremony
Notably, it was Chouhan's conduct that even after he lost the post, he won hearts. He attended the swearing-in ceremony of Nath putting aside all political differences. A photo in which Chouhan, Nath, and Jyotiraditya Scindia raised their arms in jubilation went viral on social media and reminded everyone that political discourse doesn't have to be ugly in the country.
Chouhan is staying in MP, not going towards Centre
Though defeated, the results showed that Chouhan is a force to reckon with. Being graceful after results, he said if anyone was to be blamed it was 'Shivraj Chouhan'. "Despite the best of efforts by the central government, the party could not perform... It is perhaps because of me," he said. He also dismissed reports that he would move towards Centre and said his soul belonged to Madhya Pradesh.
