'Change your clothes': Parliament adjourned over MPs wearing slogan-printed T-shirts
What's the story
Both houses of Indian Parliament were adjourned on Thursday amid protests by opposition MPs over the delimitation exercise.
Members wore T-shirts with the slogan, "#fairdelimitation Tamil Nadu will fight, Tamil Nadu will win."
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla objected to the behavior, saying it violated the House's rules and procedures.
After his comments, Birla adjourned proceedings till noon and requested those members wearing slogan-bearing T-shirts to leave and return in appropriate dress.

"However big a leader is, such undignified attire is not acceptable inside the House. Go outside, change your clothes and come back with a proper dress," he told the members and adjourned the House till noon.
DMK MPs have been attempting to raise the subject of delimitation in the Lok Sabha. But the Speaker dismissed their pleas, claiming that the matter was not on the government's radar because the population census had not yet been conducted.

Upper house disruption
DMK members' protest leads to adjournment of Rajya Sabha
The Rajya Sabha too was disrupted by protesting DMK members.
Deputy Chairman Harivansh announced, "The House stands adjourned to meet at 11am on Friday, March 21."
Earlier in the day, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar had called a meeting of floor leaders of various parties after suspending proceedings till 12 noon without spelling out the reason for adjourning the House.
Delimitation dissent

During the meeting, representatives from the opposition parties argued that BJP MPs frequently appear in the House with lotus symbols on their clothes.
DMK MPs also refused to remove the tee-shirts with the delimitation slogans written on them.
When the House resumed after 12:00, DMK MPs were seen in the House wearing the same tee shirts.
Deputy Chairman Harivansh then adjourned the House for another 15 minutes before adjourning the session to Friday.
