Case filed against Atishi after supporters assault policeman
What's the story
The Delhi Police have filed cases against Chief Minister Atishi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ramesh Bidhuri's son Manish Bidhuri for alleged violations of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
In Atishi's case, the police accused her of violating the MCC by showing up at Fateh Singh Marg with 10 vehicles and around 60 supporters.
When asked to leave, she reportedly refused.
Obstruction charges
Atishi's supporters accused of obstructing public duty
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members Ashmit and Sagar Mehta were accused of obstructing and assaulting head constable Kaushal Pal.
An FIR was filed under sections 221/132/121(1)/3(5) BNS for causing obstruction in public duty.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) also noted that Atishi, along with 50-70 people and 10 vehicles, was found violating the MCC at Fateh Singh Marg.
A case under section 223 BNS and 126 RP Act was registered following a complaint by the Flying Squad Team (FST).

Reacting to the allegations, Atishi took to social media platform X to allege that the Delhi Police "illegally took in custody two people who were reporting and making a video of MCC violations."
She also alleged that no action was taken against others for similar violations.
The chief minister also alleged that Manish Bidhuri was seen with outsiders in Kalkaji despite restrictions during the silence period.
