What's the story
The formation of the new Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Delhi will likely be delayed till after February 15, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on an official visit to the United States on February 12 and 13.
PM Modi will be among the first world leaders to meet President Donald Trump in his second term.
Sources in BJP said a grand swearing-in ceremony is planned, with all top NDA leaders and Chief Ministers invited.

BJP's historic victory in Delhi Assembly elections
The BJP registered a historic win in the Delhi Assembly polls, winning 48 out of 70 seats. This is the party's return to power in Delhi after 27 years.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which held 62 seats in the last term, was limited to just 22 seats in these polls.
PM Modi himself led BJP's election campaign, following a similar strategy as previous state polls by not announcing a CM candidate before the polls.

Speculations rife over Delhi's next Chief Minister
With the election over, the party is in talks about who will lead the new government.
Parvesh Verma is seen as a frontrunner for the CM post after he defeated AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi constituency.
First-time MP and veteran BJP leader Sushma Swaraj's daughter Bansuri Swaraj is also in the race. She represents the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat, once held by BJP stalwarts like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani.
