Modi inaugurates BJP's new headquarters at Delhi's DDU Marg
PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the new BJP headquarters at New Delhi's Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg today. The party plans to shift all operations from Ashoka Road to the new site within a week. The SC had ordered all political parties to move out from the Lutyen's Bungalow Zone. The BJP is the first to follow. The new building's foundation stone was laid in August.
The new headquarter has been equipped with modern facilities
The new headquarters, with state-of-the-art facilities, have been designed by a Mumbai-based architecture company. The premises have three buildings, all equipped with modern communication tools enabling central coordination of state units' activities. They will also contain offices for party leaders and large auditoriums for meetings. Party chief Amit Shah has been credited with working to set up BJP-owned offices in all states and districts.
Dreams of millions of workers to come true today: Shah
"Many party workers have been slain in Tripura, Kerala and Karnataka, but this hasn't stopped us from relentlessly working for the party. A dream of millions of workers will be fulfilled (today)," Shah said at the inauguration. Thanking him, Modi reiterated BJP's commitment to "Rashtra Bhakti." The event was attended by senior leaders including LK Advani, Rajnath Singh, Dharmendra Pradhan and Piyush Goyal.
