BJP MLA: Not a Hindu, if you don't join RSS
BJP MLA from Hyderabad T Raja Singh has claimed that those who don't attend RSS' daily meetings aren't "true Hindus." While addressing an event organized by the Hindu Utsav Samiti in Neemuch district, he added that "any Hindu who does not join RSS is not a true Hindu and is thus incapable of serving our nation." Here's more about what he said.
'RSS is a factory that produces icons'
Singh declared that RSS is a "factory" that produces icons like PM Narendra Modi and UP CM Adityanath. He announced other diktats as well. He said everyone living in India must say "Bharat Mata ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram" irrespective of their religion, or they "must leave the country." He alleged that no country can tolerate citizens hailing from an enemy country and glorifying terrorists.
'Owaisis built property worth crores in US by dividing Hindu-Muslims'
Singh also accused All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leaders Asaduddin and Akbaruddin Owaisi of profiting by exploiting Hindus and Muslims. He alleged that "Muslims are becoming anti-nationals because of the Owaisis." He urged people to understand their "dirty politics" and not get influenced.
'Fight love jihad and conversion by Christian missionaries'
Further, Singh asked Hindus to work for their religion by fighting "evils" like "love jihad" and tribals' paid conversions, allegedly by Christian missionaries. BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj, also present at the event, seconded Singh's statements. He claimed that political organizations may differ in their ideology, but all are made up of Hindus. He also asked people not to punish Modi for MP's/MLA's mistakes.
Congress slammed the statements
Congress leader Ramesh Rajora said Singh and Sakshi Maharaj don't have the "right to say who is a Hindu and who is not." He asserted "A person born in a Hindu family is a Hindu, and they do not need RSS's certificate to prove it."
Meanwhile, Singh is known for his vile and controversial statements
Singh is not new to controversies though. In July'17, in the aftermath of Baduria and Basirhat districts communal riots in Bengal, Singh asked Hindus to respond like '2002 Gujarat,' the worst pogrom of Muslims. Recently, he had claimed that some women in film families change husbands every day. He had also threatened to burn down theatres in Rajasthan if they screened Padmaavat.
