According to BJP leader, Humayun asked Babur to respect cows
While the concept of time-travel is baffling to the greatest minds of the world, did you know that the Mughals found their way around it? And, Humayun used it to communicate it with his dead father Babur? Weird, right? Well, BJP's Rajasthan Chief Madan Lal Saini said dying Humayun asked Babur to respect cows. The only catch: Babur died 25 years before Humayun's death.
These words of Saini deserve place in 'wall of shame'
History gone wrong: Saini has no idea about Mughal-era, obviously
Let us break down the Mughal era for Saini and his likes- Babur sowed the seed of Mughal empire in India, and his son was Humayun. Babur died in 1531, and Humayun in 1556. Why would Humayun give lessons on ruling India to his dead father, who already laid foundation for the Mughal empire, is beyond our comprehension. Has Saini never read history?
As expected, Twitter users ripped Saini's history lesson apart
Twitter users were amused by Saini's comment, quite naturally, and had many things to say on it. @greatbong wrote: When you are making up stories, at least get the order of Mughal emperors correct. Another user @kasturishankar wrote: If only Babur had listened to Humayun's wise words... ! Oh, wait. In any case, I want whatever it is that he is smoking.
And then, the jokes followed
Another BJP leader gives lesson on 'saving' Hindutva
While you are still wrapping heads around Saini's statement, another comment by a BJP MLA will further worry you. Surendra Singh said Hindu couples should reproduce five children to save 'Hindutva', and added all saints recommend it. Here's something you forgot, Mr. Singh: We are a nation of 133 crore people (approximately). 'Hindutva' doesn't need saving, the nation needs smart leaders.
BJP leaders and their outrageous comments: Will it ever stop?
The list of BJP leaders who have said absurd things in the past is already long, and it keeps on increasing. Whether they are doing this to garner votes or get media attention, only they know. But, we are clearly fed up.
