What this means for the upcoming elections
A media agency expert who follows political advertising told ET the assembly elections are being viewed as 'kingmaker' polls, as they will set the tune for the big battle in 2019. "That the results of these elections will have an impact on the general elections is the premise on which political parties might be working," the person was quoted by the daily.
Before general elections, numbers likely to see jump
Partho Dasgupta, the CEO, BARC India, said television as a medium reached more people, hence everyone from consumer companies to political parties tapped it. Ashish Bhasin, Chairman, and CEO, South Asia, Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN), added the election season has just begun and the numbers are most likely to see a jump ahead of general election.
