Daughter immerses Vajpayee's ashes in Haridwar; Shah, Rajnath, Yogi present
The ashes of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee were immersed in Haridwar today, by her daughter Namita Bhattacharya. His granddaughter Niharika was also present at the ceremony. Eminent leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat were present too. The towering leader passed away on Thursday after battling illness.
Vajpayee's ashes to be immersed in Ganga, Yamuna, and Tapti
Vajpayee's ashes were collected in three urns from Delhi's Smriti Sthal. They will be immersed in holy rivers of UP- Ganga, Yamuna and Tapti, as a mark of respect. Adityanath had said UP was Vajpayee's workplace and immersing his ashes in different rivers will give people chance to attend his last rites. The 'Asthi Kalash Yatra' of Saturday saw a huge sea of crowd.

Admirers thronged to Delhi to bid adieu to Vajpayee
The tenth Indian Prime Minister was cremated with full state honors on Friday. His final journey from BJP headquarters to funeral place saw lakhs of admirers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi walked alongside his casket, showing his deep respect for the departed leader. SAARC leaders also came to pay their last respects to the appreciated statesman. Daughter Namita performed the last rites.
