Calling RaGa 'Babua', Shah asks him to enlist Congress's achievements
From the dais as he addressed Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha constituency's workers, Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah called his Congress counterpart 'Babua' (child) and asked him to enlist achievements of the grand old party in the last 70 years. Shah also took a jibe at Opposition's happiness on defeating BJP in by-polls and said they forgot they were themselves losing state after state.
What have you done in 70 years, asks Amit Shah
"'Arre babua', tell me, brother, what you have done? Your three generations were in power for 70 years and if they had done all these works then it would not be our luck to provide people toilets and poor mothers gas cylinders," said Amit Shah.
In addition, Amit Shah says he's happy with Opposition
Talking about the united Opposition, Shah said the parties were disconnected on the ground. "We lost eight by-polls, but snatched power from them (opposition) in 14 states," said Shah as he maintained he was happy with such an Opposition which was just content with victory in by-elections. Further, he quipped no one knew where Rahul Gandhi went on vacation.
World's most popular leader making India 'Vishwa Guru'
Singing praises of PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah said he was the most popular leader in the world. "He is leading the country and under him, it is marching to become 'vishwa guru'." Shah said the central government built 7.5 crore toilets, distributed 4 crore gas cylinders, electrified all villages, provided one crore houses and opened bank accounts of more than 30 crore people.
BJP's soul are its workers, says party president
Shah asked BJP workers to work overtime to ensure the saffron party won at the Rajasthan Assembly elections, scheduled for later this year. The party president added the workers were BJP's soul, that made it different from others. "The BJP has also worked to propagate its ideology and enhance the country's prestige, and not merely to get power," he told.
