Independence Day: Amit Shah's gaffe during flag-hoisting mocked by Congress
Bharatiya Janta Party President Amit Shah was left red-faced today when the flag he was unfurling at the party's headquarters fell down. The Congress shared the video of this gaffe, saying how can BJP take care of the country when they can't even handle the flag. Shah quickly rectified his mistake but it had been recorded, and now has become viral.
Shah's flag hoisting ceremony goes terribly wrong
The BJP President was hoisting the tricolor when instead of climbing up the mast, the flag came down. He was assisted by officials standing nearby and later the flag rose up. After the hoisting, Shah saluted the flag. But this incident was captured and the viral video even features the reporter's 'Tch Tch' in the background. Obviously, Congress didn't lose this opportunity.
Here is what Congress tweeted about Shah's incident
Even Arvind Kejriwal took swipe at Shah
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that even the most powerful ones are small as compared to nature. "The tricolor refused to be hoisted by Amit Shah. Through this Mother India wants to tell us something- that she is sad," tweeted the AAP leader.
Earlier, Congress called PM Modi's speech 'hollow'
Earlier today, Congress dubbed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's as hollow and said he didn't mention corruption even once. Randeep Surjewala asked PM Modi to accept Rahul Gandhi's challenge for a debate on key issues and added people were fed up with his 'fake' ache din. "Will you debate on the issue of corruption and Rafale and Vyapam and other corruption scams," asked Surjewala.
