'At least we've hair': Akhilesh takes swipe at Yogi Adityanath
Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has hit back at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over his recent comments about the SP and its symbolic red caps. In an interview with India Today TV, Yadav defended his party's symbol, suggesting that those criticizing the red caps might need one themselves. Adityanath had earlier said that the SP's red cap is "laal" (red) but "karnaame kaale hain" (deeds are black).

During his visit to Kannauj, Yadav defended the SP's red cap, stating "Red is the color of emotions. Red is the color of Goddess Durga." "They are abusing our cap, yet our behavior is so good. At least we have full hair... Those who do not have hair should also wear a cap," Yadav added. He attributed Adityanath's comments to his inability to accept the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s defeat in Uttar Pradesh.
Yadav's post on colors and their significance
Yadav further explained that every color is obtained from nature and positive people do not consider any color to be negative. He emphasized that red is a symbol of union and power. Talking about black, he said, "Black color is particularly positive in the Indian contexts... Those who lack the element of motherly love or good fortune in their lives, psychologically develop an aversion toward the black color."
