AAP leader's son accuses BJP of abducting his father
The son of Shahbad Dairy councilor Ram Chander has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of threatening and abducting his father. Chander had recently rejoined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) after a brief stint with the BJP. In a video circulated by AAP leaders, Chander's son, Akash Ram Chander, claimed that former BJP councilor from Bawana, Narayan Singh, was behind his father's alleged abduction.

Akash detailed the incident in the video, stating, "Narayan Singh...called my father Ram Chander and said he wanted to meet him. When my father went to meet them, 5 to 6 people were with him." "They threatened my father with ED and CBI raids and then took him away in their car. I don't know where they have taken him; I'm going to look for him right now," he added.
Chander's regret over BJP affiliation and AAP's allegations
Chander has earlier publicly expressed his regret over joining the BJP. He stated, "Joining the BJP was my biggest mistake... I will remain with the Aam Aadmi Party throughout my life." The AAP credited his return to party leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh. Chander had expressed unhappiness at not being offered an AAP ticket for the 2020 Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, which he said was a major reason for his brief association with the BJP.

BJP denies involvement in Chander's alleged abduction
The Delhi BJP has denied any involvement in the alleged abduction, accusing the AAP of spreading "fake sensationalism." Delhi BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor stated, "You guys are the kings of fake sensationalism. Whether councilor Ram Chander is not in your party or not, we have nothing to do with it. It is certain that he is sitting in his house."
