As the end of the vote counting nears, data from the ECI shows that the BJP has won 43 of the 70 assembly seats and was leading on five others.
The AAP has won 21 seats and was leading on one.
The Congress, which once reigned over Delhi under CM Sheila Dikshit, performed even worse than it did in the last two elections.
It failed to open an account in Delhi this time.
The Trinamool Congress, which is a member of the opposition bloc INDIA, said the Delhi election result has no impact on West Bengal.
"Who won, who lost, who fought the election, and between whom it happened, we have no comment on this," TMC leader Kunal Ghosh said.
"#DelhiElection2025 will have no impact on the Bengal election in 2026...In 2026 Mamata Banerjee will win the polls for the 4th term," he asserted.

Reacting to the surprising Delhi assembly election results, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said the party's victory was due to PM Modi's leadership, development, and trust.
As of 4:00pm, 37 seats have been won by the BJP, according to ECI data.
The AAP, on the other hand, has won just 17 seats and was leading on five seats.
This means it is now certain that the BJP will form the government in the capital after 27 years.
A party needs 36 seats to form a majority in the 70-member Delhi Assembly.
AAP candidate Durgesh Pathak has become the latest top party leader to face defeat in the Delhi polls.
The MLA, who is a senior member of the Political Affairs Committee, lost to BJP's Umang Bajaj in Delhi's Rajinder Nagar seat by 1,231 votes.
He joins other top AAP leaders like Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Satyender Jain, who lost.

BJP's Parvesh Verma, who gave AAP chief Kejriwal a humiliating defeat, said his victory was not just his, but "the victory of the people of Delhi who chose truth over lies."
He said this mandate is a clear message that people want honest, transparent, and development-driven politics.
"A new chapter begins for Delhi, and together, we will build a brighter future," he said in a statement.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also congratulated Delhi BJP for scoring a "historic" victory in the elections.
"This victory is a stamp of the faith of the people of Delhi on the successful leadership of the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and his development policies dedicated to the benefit of all, public welfare and overall upliftment," he wrote on X.
The latest data on the ECI website shows that the BJP has won 28 seats, while the AAP is trailing with just 13 seats, as the vote counting is still underway. The parties are leading in 20 and nine constituencies, respectively, as of 3:30pm on Saturday.
PM Modi on Saturday lauded the BJP's victory in Delhi as the "triumph of governance and development." On X, he wrote, "People’s power is supreme! Development and good governance have won. We guarantee that we will leave no stone unturned to ensure the all-round development of Delhi and to make the lives of its people better. Along with this, we will also ensure that Delhi plays an important role in building a developed India."
Conceding defeat to the BJP in the Delhi elections, AAP National Convenor Kejriwal congratulated the saffron party on Saturday upon its victory. In a video message, he said, "We accept the mandate of the people with great humility. I congratulate the BJP...and I hope they will fulfill all the promises for which people have voted for them. We will not only play the role of constructive opposition but will also remain among the people and continue to serve them."
As of 2:30pm, based on the ECI data, the BJP is well ahead of the 36-seat majority mark. It has won in 11 constituencies and is leading on 37 seats. The AAP has secured victory in 10 seats and is ahead of the BJP in 12 constituencies. Meanwhile, the Congress has failed to bag even a single seat, mirroring its 2020 Delhi Assembly election performance.
As per the latest update on the ECI website, the results for 18 Delhi Assembly seats have been announced, with the BJP and the AAP winning nine each. The BJP has been declared the winner from Shalimar Bagh, Tri Nagar, Moti Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Rajinder Nagar, Sangam Vihar, Greater Kailash, Patparganj, Gandhi Nagar, Chhatarpur, and Laxmi Nagar. The AAP bagged the Sultanpur Majra, Sadar Bazar, Chandni Chowk, Ballimaran, Tilak Nagar, Tughlakabad, Babrpur, Delhi Cantonment, Kirari, and Kondli seats.
With the BJP storming back to power in Delhi, all eyes are now on the party leadership's pick for the post of chief minister. The BJP didn't formally announce a CM candidate ahead of the polls. Even as the BJP remains tight-lipped on its CM choice, reports say five leaders are among the top contenders. They include its New Delhi candidate Verma who defeated Kejriwal, Vijender Gupta (Rohini), Majinder Singh Sirsa (Rajouri Garden), Dushyant Gautam (Karol Bagh), and Harish Khurana (Moti Nagar).
Once a mentor of Kejriwal, veteran social activist Anna Hazare said on Saturday that the AAP lost the Delhi elections because of its leadership's tainted image. He added, "While contesting elections, the candidate must have character, good ideas, and an unblemished image. But they (AAP) didn’t maintain that. They got tangled in liquor and money – his (Kejriwal's) image was dented because of it, and that’s why they are getting fewer votes in the election."
After winning against AAP supremo Kejriwal from New Delhi, BJP leader Verma congratulated the people of Delhi upon defeating the AAP. He said, "The darkness went away, the Sun rose, the lotus bloomed. Delhi has chosen development. This victory is of Delhi’s faith. This victory is for the future of Delhi. Congratulations to all the people of Delhi for this new dawn of Delhi!"
As the BJP is set to return to power in Delhi after 27 years, Jammu & Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah seemingly took a dig at his INDIA allies: the AAP and the Congress. On X, he shared a meme saying, "Aur lado aapas mein (keep fighting among yourselves)." The AAP and the Congress, which fought the 2024 Lok Sabha polls together under the INDIA bloc, contested against each other in the Delhi polls because of an internal rift. This highlighted the disunity among the INDIA leaders.
Though her AAP colleagues Kejriwal and Sisodia lost in their constituencies, Delhi CM Atishi has retained her Kalkaji seat, winning it by a margin of around 3,500 votes over the BJP candidate, Bidhuri.
