Atishi, 11 AAP MLAs suspended amid uproar in Delhi Assembly

Twelve Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs, including Leader of Opposition Atishi, were suspended from the Delhi Assembly due to their "disruptive sloganeering" during Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena's speech on Tuesday.
The other suspended MLAs included prominent faces like Gopal Rai, Veer Singh Dhingan, Mukesh Ahlawat, Chaudhary Zubair Ahmed, Anil Jha, Vishesh Ravi, and Jarnail Singh.

Atishi accuses BJP of disrespecting BR Ambedkar
After the suspension, Atishi addressed a press conference where she accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of disrespecting BR Ambedkar.
She alleged the BJP had removed Ambedkar's portrait from the chief minister's office.
"By removing Babasaheb Ambedkar's portrait, the BJP has revealed its real stance. Do they think PM Modi can take Babasaheb's place?" she said.

Assembly address
Lieutenant Governor outlines governance focus areas
During his address to the assembly, L-G Saxena listed key focus areas for governance.
He said his government would adopt 'Viksit Delhi Sankalp Patra' as a policy guidance document.
Saxena emphasized goals such as "corruption-free governance, women empowerment, clean Delhi, rejuvenation of Yamuna, and clean drinking water."
Fourteen reports by the CAG are expected to be presented in the Assembly, including one on the Delhi liquor policy.
