Mumbai University to upload results by 6 Sep
Recently, the University of Mumbai (MU) had informed the Bombay HC that it was "striving" to finish assessing the answer sheets and upload results of all the undergraduate examinations on its website by 6 September 2017. After missing a series of deadlines, MU has pushed the result announcement date for the sixth time from the original 31 July deadline.
Petition in Bombay HC seeking monetary compensation from MU
Three final-year law students filed a petition seeking monetary compensation from Mumbai University for students who endured much agony and missed out on many higher-education opportunities due to the delay in their undergraduate results. Petitioners said statutory rules mandate MU must announce results of any examination within a 45-day period of its completion and new academic sessions commence latest by 1 August every year.
