Reason behind increase in rape cases are failed love affairs
Blaming failed love affairs, IPS officer-turned-lawyer YP Singh said, "There is no increase in violent rape cases as maximum cases are related to affairs among minors which end up being registered as POCSO cases, however, those cannot be seen as an increase in sexual offences against children." A police official said, "The rise in complaints prove that people's faith in the police has increased."
