New facility to be available in two weeks' time: Sources
According to reports, the new facility proposed by the Western Railway's Mumbai division will be brought into effect within two weeks' time. Sources also said that the decision about the facility has been taken at the highest level of the Indian Railways.
Proposal made after suggestions from commuters
The proposal was made after many passengers made a fuss about the frequency of the AC trains and that the pass of the AC locals they had to buy was not applicable for normal trains. After the implementation of the facility, every AC compartment will have a ticket checker with handheld machines for issuing tickets to first-class pass holders.
