Mumbai: Major blaze breaks out in commercial building in Kandivali
A major fire broke out this morning in a three-story commercial building in East Kandivali's Ashok Nagar in suburban Mumbai. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Disaster Management Cell said the blaze erupted on the building's second-floor; five people have been rescued unhurt. The blaze was confined to 4-5 shops on the second-floor. Eight fire-engines and water-tankers contained the fire; no casualties have been reported. Know more!
Cause behind fire yet to be ascertained: Official
A BMC Disaster Management Cell officer said: "The Fire brigade received a call at 10:20 am. Our team arrived at the spot at 10:38 am and swung into action to douse the fire which occurred in a commercial establishment. Cooling operations were underway."
