    What's the story

The strangled body of a five-year-old girl, who was kidnapped Saturday from Mumbai's Nallasopara, was found in a ladies' toilet in Navsari railway station in Gujarat Sunday.

The distance between the two can be covered in 4 hours by road or by train.

Cops said that the nursery student was playing in the neighborhood when a woman kidnapped her after luring her with candies.

Maharashtra's Tulinj police department was investigating after five-year-old Anjali Saroj's father registered a case, when Navsari police informed them about the body.

"The killer could be a woman as the body was found in the ladies' toilet on platform 1," said an investigating officer.

Her sketch has been released where she appears to be tall, fair and wearing a salwar kameez.

Police team sent to Navsari, CCTV footage being scanned

A cop said that a team of police officers from Tulinj are in Navsari to catch the killer, after which murder charges will be added in the FIR.

"We're scanning CCTV footages from Borivli, Vasai, Virar, Palghar, Dahanu and other stations," he said.

Meanwhile, around 5,000 angry locals gathered in front of Tulinj police station on Monday and demanded immediate arrest of the murderer.
