Mumbai University reduces grace-mark eligibility for students with learning disability
Mumbai University has changed the rule for grace marks awarded to students with learning disability. It is apparently against the order passed by Bombay High Court. As per the order, a student with LD is eligible for 20 grace marks but MU gave only 3% of the semester's total marks as grace marks. Moreover, it was neither communicated to colleges nor to the students.
Mumbai University's staff unaware of the term 'learning disability'
A law student said "I had to first explain what the term (learning disability) meant and then tell them how I was eligible for 20 grace marks according to an order passed by the Bombay high court. I was told that MU had conveniently changed this rule."
