Mumbai: 12,000 coconut trees to be planted in six months

What's the story
In a move aimed at increasing Mumbai's green cover, the city is going to get 12,000 coconut trees along its west coast within the next six months.
The trees would be planted in Juhu, Versova, Aksa, Gorai, Danapani, and Manori.
It is part of "Mission Green Mumbai" initiative by environmental activist Subhajit Mukherjee; NGO Green Yatra is also a part of it.

The founding member of Let's Green Foundation said: "The government and other agencies have undertaken several plantation drives this year, but not much has been done to increase the green cover along the coastline. Hence, we decided to plant coconut trees along the west coast."
