Mumbai: Major fire breaks out in Goregaon cloth mill
A massive fire broke out at a cloth mill in Goregaon's Italian Industrial Estate near the Oberoi Mall, around 7 am today. At least eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire. No casualty has been reported so far in the blaze. The fire started on the ground floor of the three-storey building on Mulund Link Road. Here's more.

A Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's disaster management unit official said that the fire brigade control room received information about the blaze at around 7.19 am. To douse the blaze, fire engines along with water tankers and ambulance were rushed to the spot, he said. However, he added that the cause of the fire is not known yet and further details were awaited.
Mumbai lately has witnessed many such incidents
The city has been witnessing several such incidents recently and, this is the fifth such incident recorded in 2018 itself. On January 8, the sessions court building caught fire, and before that on January 6, one person died in the huge fire at the Cinevista studio in Kanjurmarg. On January 19, there was a massive fire at the Navrang studio in Lower Parel area.
