BJP member molests woman, she thrashes him with her sandal
On the pretext of giving her a job, a 37-year-old man tried molesting a woman in his Mumbai office, but what he got in return was totally unexpected. The woman picked up her sandals and started thrashing him before her screams alerted the local residents, who rushed to her help. The man, who's a BJP ward president as per some reports, was arrested later.
Pandey assured the girl's father of giving her stable job
The father of the 19-year-old woman and the man, Umesh Pandey, knew each other as they stayed in the same locality in Malwani, Malad-West. Pandey had told the girl's father that he'd be able to find her a stable job, so that she doesn't have to work part-time as she does now to support her family. On Saturday, Pandey called her in his chamber.
He took her warnings lightly, she gave it back tightly
It was around 6:30PM when she was returning from work. Once in his chamber, Pandey claimed he could give her a job and then started with his vile act. The girl warned him when he started caressing her back, but he didn't pay heed and groped her. Unable to tolerate any more, she picked up her sandal and started thrashing him vehemently.
He will be in jail till court grants him bail
While attacking, she also screamed loudly, which alerted locals who rushed to her help. But, by then, Pandey had fled. The woman then informed her father and the duo filed an FIR under IPC Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman to outrage her modesty). Pandey was later traced and nabbed. He will be in jail till his bail is granted.
'Pandey was doing good work. This is political conspiracy'
Meanwhile his party leader alleged this is a political conspiracy. "Pandey is an active member and was doing good work in the area. Due to political rivalry someone has tried to damage his and the party's image," said BJP North Mumbai district president Vinod Shelar.
