Mumbai: Man fractures girl's nose on being asked to shut-up
A 16-year-old girl got her nose fractured in Mumbai's Kurla-Nehrunagar on Tuesday. Why? Because she asked a man she knew and his friends to stop making noise. The incident, which got captured in a CCTV camera, has gone viral on social and in mainstream media. The video shows the man, identified as Imran Shahid Shaikh, repeatedly attacking the girl until she fell down.

Accused arrested, granted bail the same day
Shaikh was arrested the same day, but was later given bail by a local court. The incident took place in Chembur's Shramjeevi Nagar at 7 pm. Shaikh was arguing loudly with his friends near the girl's building. The victim hence asked them to not make noise. Enraged, Shaikh hit her nose repeatedly with a metal object until she started bleeding profusely and collapsed.
Bystanders kept looking as the girl was being beaten
According to the police, not one person standing at the spot stopped Shaikh from beating the girl. Shaikh allegedly threatened the girl after beating her and fled. On being rushed to the hospital, it was found that the girl had suffered a nose fracture. The case is further being investigated.
