Mumbai: Man brutally thrashes 4-yr-old after parents object to ogling

What's the story

A19-year-old man in Mumbai grievously thrashed a four-year-old girl with an irod rod after her parents objected to him ogling at her.

The incident happened on the night of December 12. She is now battling for her life at a Bhayander hospital; her skull is fractured.

The accused, Rahim Shaukat Ali Shaikh, has since been arrested. He has confessed.

Rahim was angry with the minor's parents who had protested him ogling at her.

Later, her parents found her lying in a pool of blood beside a garbage heap near their house.

She suffered internal brain injuries, multiple skull fractures, and wounds on eyes and face.

Last month, the body of a 10-year-old boy was found in Azad Nagar. Earlier in January, an infant was found buried in a dry drain near some shanties in the area. Meanwhile, Rahim has been arrested under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC.
